Two favorite narrators; one beautifully romantic story.

Tor Thom and Lucy Rivers continue to enchant me in this series, this time as Jackson and Sloan.

A second chance, 14 years later. Talk about waiting for the love of your life to suddenly, surprisingly reappear! Sloan Mackenzie is a billionaire and is receiving threatening notes so she decides to take off on her sailboat for a few weeks while the culprit is caught but didn’t plan on Jackson, the guy who broke her heart years ago, accompanying her! Jackson becomes Sloan’s bodyguard and old feelings of course resurface. What I loved about these two is the growth of both characters from young adults trying to find their way in life to strong professionals who supported and even admired each other. Sure it took some time, and we got flashbacks here and there to show how secrets and insecurities tore them apart all those years ago, but having to spend 2 months on a sailboat together certainly helped reunite these two.

The Mackenzie brothers and the Crawfords and their women are back of course and Sloan’s brothers and their overprotective ways were entertaining for sure.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to Graham’s story next!

I think I say every time I listen or read a new Jenna title this is my favorite one 💕. This one is amazing with tension and heat!! This story line is one of my favorite types of forbidden..best friend’s brother! They are not wanting to keep secrets, loving but torn about what’s right… Just read the book or give it a listen rather!! You’ll love it! I found myself laughing out loud, trying to solve a mystery, and wishing I was a character in the story. When the happy ending hit I was sighing with joy. That is one thing I really appreciate about Jenna’s books they all have HEA so even if my heart hurts in the middle I know it won’t be left broken at the end.
