The Dead Sea Squirrels, Book 1

Mike Nawrocki, cocreator of VeggieTales, is back! In the first installment of this hilarious new chapter-book series, 10-year-old Michael and his friend Justin sneak into the Dead Sea caves near the archaeological dig where Michael’s dad is working. Michael finds two 2,000-year-old squirrels petrified in sea salt. Hijinks ensue as Michael tries to bring them back to the US, hidden in his backpack. What Michael thinks are just cool souvenirs may turn out to be something much more!

Squirrel Tales

What better way to teach people biblical values as well as VeggieTales. Dead Sea Squirrels would make a great show for Big Idea Production as well as VeggieTales, 3-2-1 Penguins, and the Larry-Boy cartoon, combined! Kudos to Mike Nawrocki, aka Larry the Cucumber! 5 stars!!

Great to engage readers and read by Mike Nawrocki, EVEN BETTER!

Fantastic to help engage readers who need that extra push to help with listening and reading comprehension. Great to accompany with the series of books of you have them. The little added sound effects are great to spark imagination of the narrative. Great for all elementary kids neurodivergent/neuorotypical -you name it!

Not a full story

I get the point of cliff hangers and I know kid’s books will naturally be short but this feels really incomplete. I liked the story but I think it will take too many of my credits to finish it. For these reasons if you are a grown up with an “inner kid side” you might be disappointed with this book
