Love it

Loved the story and the pacing was spot on. My only complaint is that it felt too short—I wasn’t ready for it to end.

magic otters

I like this series I can never complain about it decent pace you can't complain about the MCS intelligent and calculated and loves to point out that he knows a lot of ancient knowledge I look forward to the next book and there's magic otters:)

annoying place to leave it at

ending feels like the end of a chapter, not of a book, not s Cliff hanger, but an extremely annoying place to pause at for the end of the book

the series is slowing down

Overall, this was still worth the time. They narrator does a great job and really has all the character voices down well. The MC is still an overpowered Mary Sue, but in this one he tended to stay out of most of the conflicts and watch his students. This helped, but still put a safety net on everything.
I still like this series, and will keep listening to new ones, but this book didn't feel like it really moved much along. I would call this one of the weaker books in the series.
