Book 1 of Wild Era.

***The Archmage of Souls Reborn.***

For 5,000 years, the Wild Era of humanity has reigned supreme, where strength and magic are the source of everything.

Kelin Wildfire, once called the Lord of Wildfire and the Archmage of Souls, was mysteriously killed on a battlefield of the Chaos War.

Nevertheless, his soul lived on in the cycle of reincarnation, his memories frozen in time.

Until today.

Now he is twenty years old, an orphan living on a lawless planet in the human domain where he is barely able to scrape by.

He takes up a job as a miner, searching for rare mana crystals in the depths of a mountain, but treachery from local thugs triggers a mana explosion that nearly kills him and that threatens to turn the area into a dungeon.

A pulse of mana strikes him on the edge of death, awakening memories of his past life when he was something more.

Half dead and without any mana, but with the memories of an Archmage, he decides to rise again.

This is the Wild Era.

Where the Lord of Wildfire will reign supreme.

I wasn’t happy about the change of narrator and it took few chapters to get use to him but I did. I enjoyed the story it was well written. I’m looking forward to the next book

Overall, this was a pretty good listen. It was a little wordy at times, not to the point of true annoyance, but it could have been cut down just a little. The story was interesting and left me wanting to know more, so I'll be checking out the next book.

i enjoyed the story

It’s an otherwise great story that lacks consistent interactions with the main character… could have used a peer or close friend that struggles with the MCs dramatic changes.

Excellent Story, Not Enough Social Engagement

Less math, more story. I get that some people loooooove all the attention to detail abd “crunchiness.” But for me, all of the explanations as to why the fight was going the way it was took away from the experience of actually enjoying the content of it. I frequently got distracted or lost while listening to the audiobook because my brain would shut off when he went into too much detail. Then something would happen and I’d have to rewind or go back and reread to figure out where I got lost.

Too much math

This was an absolutely fantastic start to a new series. I love both cultivation and system-style novels, and this book blends them in a way that feels fresh, smooth, and incredibly satisfying. It has classic levels and classes, but the main character also trains his body and skills in true cultivation fashion. The mix works beautifully — familiar enough to enjoy instantly, but with its own flavor that really stands out.

The main character is reincarnated without his memories, and around eighteen he finally gets them back. I love this trope: watching someone who was once powerful start from scratch and rebuild themselves piece by piece. The progression is exciting, fast-paced, and fun. Yes, he’s overpowered — and yes, I absolutely loved every second of it.

The tier system is also great. Each tier spans 100 levels (0–99, 100–199, etc.), with huge jumps in mana density between them. Our MC starts at level 9 and tears through the early levels quickly, reclaiming what he once knew — and it never stops being entertaining.

Honestly, my only real complaint is that the book wasn’t longer. Twenty hours for one credit is already a fantastic deal, but I still wanted more. This just released earlier this month, so I know I’ll have to be patient… but I’m already anxiously waiting for book two.

A fantastic mix of system and cultivation with fast, fun progression. I recommend it as highly as a person can recommend a book.
