From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Say You'll Remember Me comes a beautiful, compelling novel that revels in laughter, friendship, and the messy choices life can throw our way.

In everyone’s life, there’s a split-second decision that can change everything...

For Larissa, it came when choosing who to ride home with after a concert. That night, she had no idea she’d met the perfect man. She and Chris are great friends, co-parenting a slightly unhinged rescue Yorkie, sharing their favorite books, and judging bread (pumpernickel for the win!). For the first time amid all her side hustles to scrape by, things finally feel easy.

But she didn’t choose Chris to drive her home all those months ago—she went with his best friend, and he became her boyfriend. All Chris wants is for Larissa to be happy. Standing by on the sidelines is slowly killing him, but making a move would destroy someone else. How can something that feels so right be absolutely impossible?

I don’t say this lightly, but The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez just locked her in as my favorite author. At this point, one book a year isn’t enough. We need two. Minimum.

The audiobook casting was a perfect 10. Teresa Palmer was a surprise in the best way. I hadn’t heard her before, but her tone is instantly likable and she doesn’t just read, she performs. You feel her.

And then there’s Zachary Webber. He’s the best male narrator working right now. No one delivers emotional truth the way he does. Every line feels real, not acted. This was one of his strongest performances.

The story pulled me in completely. I’d put it in the same emotional category as The Notebook. Abby’s strength is the way she builds connection. The banter, the inside jokes, the long conversations that feel like real life, not scripted romance. You’re not just listening, you’re in it with them.

This one felt closest to Yours Truly for me. Same level of character likability, same tension, same ache that keeps you invested.

Bottom line: I didn’t want it to end.

Abby, if you’re listening, write faster. And keep casting Zachary Webber. Every time.

Zachary Webber Made This One Unforgettable

Abby Jimenez builds real characters. They are the friends that turn into family and make everything feel so familiar. Chris’ love language and how he cared for everyone around him endeared him to me. On top of Abby’s incredible story telling is the story teller, Zachary Webber. Abby and Zach just go together. Nobody else can tell her stories like him. His voice makes me heart smile.

This story is my love language

I absolutely loved The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This story had such a perfect slow-burn romance… emotional and heartfelt. I loved the audiobook, the narrators brought so much depth to the characters. I’m a huge fan of Zachary Webber.

As always, the Minnesota setting felt cozy and familiar, which is something I’ve come to love in Abby Jimenez’s books.

Larissa’s Mom and boyfriend were the only characters I disliked. The book was beautifully written, I loved it.

Chris is such a gentleman and his morals and values are what I wish every human treasured
