Beautiful stories with well rounded characters. I love small town life and being able to “visit” with characters we’ve met in other books.

Wishful Series Box Set Volume 2 books 4-6

I enjoy having the larger series in box sets. For one price or credit you get to read 3 books. I was able to get this with Volume with my monthly credit. Book 4 focuses on Piper and Myles they skip the traditional courtship and enter a marriage of convenience to get Myles inheritance to save his Wishful newspaper. They e ter as great friends that both want a relationship. Piper is a no nonsense say it as is spitfire. Myles is a calm sensible good guy who understands Piper and treasures her. However mis understanding happen when neither of them are transparent about their romantic feelings. Myles shows with actions yet Piper needs to hear the words.

Book 5 focuses on Wi5 bookstore owner Reed Campbell and marketing professional and hidden heiress Cecily Dixon . Cecily finds a job as Noras intern when they both leave Chicago. Reed is Noras fiancee cousin who I produces Cecily too. Their attraction is instant however after a brief kiss and misplaced words Reed and Cecily dont I tract fir a few months but both think of each other. Reed comes up with a plan to hire Cecily to market his bookstore I order to reconnect and give their relationship a second chance. I liked the couple but I really didn't k ow much about Reed he is one of the least used cousin in the books. I was t to know more and get more from him. Cecily had a great backstory and focus upon her family yet Reed Crawford family was not in this story, there was a disconnect for me. Plus the online virtual chat girlfriend plot was unnecessary .

Book 6: This story focuses on Tucker McGee lawyer, comedian/actor/dancer of Wishful, his character has been in most the books and is a very likeable character and interacts with with many of the other couples in prior books. He is childhood friends with Piper ( book 4) and Tyler (book 3) plus the Crawford family. Tucker pursues a former High school mean girl who is back in Wishful as a divorced single mother with an adorable 5 year old boy. Tucker sees past the mean girl image of Corinnes past and knows she is that person she is a hardworking mother putting g herself through nursing g school to give her and her son a betterlife. Tucker and Corinne are dance partner in a fundraiser for the local womans shelter.. This story does touch upon domestic abuse. I enjoyed this story and thought Tucker and Corinne story to romance was done very well and Tuckers interactions Kurt was adorable.
