The journey

Good lord, I’ve never been more invested in a story than this series. I often feel as though their struggles are my own and I’m right there with them in the moment. SLF writes in such a way that just feels genuine to the situation. I can’t wait for the next book cause I need it yesterday.

Never disappoints

As always she never disappoints. Sarah Lyons Fleming gives us a great story of a continuing saga.

Emotional Roller Coaster

There was the classic slow build. The characters started to relax, make plans, build a life. Slowly and methodically the plot was driven forward, filled with hints of the future to come. Just as the story stalls, you are sent careening down a hill in a seemingly uncontrolled descent. You are pushed and pulled with action, scares, adrenaline, and emotions. You are left feeling emotionally hollow, physically weak, with a touch of meloncalia. At the end, you are glad you took the ride, and ready to take it again.

SLF quickly became my favorite author when I found her books and this one did not disappoint. I am so invested in the characters, I can’t think of another series that will make you go from laughing out loud to tearing up as you journey through all the ups and downs with Clara, Rose and the rest.

The best

Love the Cascadia series and Sarah’s other related series. I can’t get enough and am so happy this one will continue.
