Jamie entered the American prison system and was to stay there for 34 years with stints in San Quentin, Folsom State Prison and the notorious Deuel Vocational Institution in California. He would rub shoulders with some of the world's most infamous serial killers and gangs. This book tells of his time locked up with no hope of release, living the brutality of the tough and unforgiving American penitentiary system and finding his new purpose in life.

Heartfelt and Somber Memoir

Mr. Kane is a wonderful writer who drags you into the clutches of his world so deeply you forget its not your own. He expresses his past and his struggles in ways I rarely see and relate with personally very deeply. The level of kindness, nuiance and empathy he puts into all of his work and description of himself vs others is so refreshing. I am so grateful to have found this and will be buying a physical copy soon.

34 Years of American Injustice

I appreciate someone who can face an injustice at every turn and still attempt to be a decent person. The American government and criminal justice system should be ashamed at how they acted.

Great story and narration. Highly recommended. Tough life for a mistake that proved disastrous. Worth listening to.
