Fascinating Slice of Idaho History

This book tells the haunting story of Game Warden Art Teed who disappeared while pursuing poachers. Latham excels at describing the rugged environment & culture of remote regions around Mullan, ID. For anyone interested in true crime, Western history or the realities of life and law enforcement in mountain communities, this is a compelling read. On a personal note: I don’t always appreciate authors reading their own books but this is an exception. I really enjoyed the author as narrator. I also spent 10 years of my younger life in a remote Idaho mountain community - this book felt vivid and authentic to me.

A Story that needed telling!

Very well written and very well told story that needed to be told! Without this book and the research done for it, the story would’ve disappeared forever and not been told.
