Queen Elizabeth’s brilliance and kindness

This may be my favorite in this series yet- I’m certain I say that after each book. It’s so very clever and detailed
SJ Bennett never leaves a thread unexplained. The minute details are so interesting and makes me more curious about history

The voices are distinctive and memorable, and the story really evokes the time. I enjoy all of these books!

Charming and oddly believable

Have enjoyed the 3 previous books and this one is no exception. Of course few of us have any idea what life as a queen is like but here we are transported into world that I certainly believed was real. Story moves at a good pace and the reader is great.
