The first novel in the enthralling Follet Valley Series, by TV/radio regular Ian Moore.

Richard is a middle-aged Englishman who runs a B&B in the fictional Val de Follet in the Loire Valley. Nothing ever happens to Richard, and really that’s the way he likes it. One day, however, one of his older guests disappears, leaving behind a bloody handprint on the wallpaper. Another guest, the exotic Valérie, persuades a reluctant Richard to join her in investigating the disappearance. Richard remains a dazed passenger in the case until things become really serious and someone murders Ava Gardner, one of his beloved hen...and you don’t mess with a fellow’s hens!

Unpausable mystery set in rural France, by TV/radio regular and best-selling author Ian Moore - perfect for fans of Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club, Julia Chapman, or M.C. Beaton. Everyone is wanting mort!

Hire a pro. I'm sure if I wrote a book I would feel only I could get the voices right. I get why authors would want to narrate, but its a mistake. Some get it right, Neil Gaiman comes to mind, but most don't.
Moore did ok, but I could hear the sound of "I've read this 1000 times" in the delivery. The engineering could use some work too. So, the story, I may have been able to get into but the narration kept from going past chapter 7 or 8. Pay the pros, they can make a bad book okay and a good one great!

A wonderful book full of great humor. I really enjoyed it. Read by the author. The author did their best, but a recording by a professional actor would elevate this book so much more.

Great Book - please make another recording
