The Crows are more than nightmares lurking in every shadow. They're a brotherhood. Family. When threats creep in, they'll protect what belongs to them.

Quinn. Does a wrong make a right? In my case, it has to. The Kings gave me no choice, no chance to fold. I betrayed the guy who believed he was protecting me while I gave his secrets away. Now we're enemies once more.

My brother and I burned all our bridges. Begging Colton DuPont for his help again is my only option. The Crows demand a steep price, but to buy our safety I'll do anything. Even sell my soul to the man who wants me dead.

Colton. Our unmatched reign is going up in flames. And I know exactly who our enemy is. Quinn Walker. My queen turned out to be my downfall. Any danger to my brothers is a threat I won't allow.

Once these flames sputter to ashes and the dust settles, our next hunt begins. My monster has come out to play, and I won't rest until I get revenge. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice? Baby, you better run, because I'm coming for you.

Contains mature themes.

This is a great book. I love the story. I love about where it’s going. It’s just the male voice actor. Every other sentence he was inhaling before speaking. I have no clue if this is helpful or not, but I kept hyper focusing on it.

Why was there so much breathing?

I really enjoyed this one! Thankfully it picks up right where the last one left off (left us on a cliffhanger) and I would highly recommend reading the previous two books prior to this one. It does follow a different couple but it has continuing plot lines that are a huge part of the book. I loved seeing Colton and Quinn in this one. They have been dancing around a little bit but in this one it all comes to a head and not in the prettiest ways at first. Quinn is in trouble, in multiple ways, as she has gotten herself hooked up with some bad people, the King Society, and really didn't know what she was getting dragged into. She didn't have all the information and when she was sent to hack into some things and get rid of stolen information she didn't realize that there was more to it and that they were planning on burning the Crows building/house down at the same time. Colton knows Quinn was the hacker and he wants her. Quinn was planning on going to them and asking for their help, in truth this time, as well as for her brother and giving them whatever they wanted in exchange. The pull and connection between Colton and Quinn is intense and so even though Colton is beyond angry at her and wants to shut off what he feels, it's difficult and it leads to some interesting games between the two of that definitely sets off some kinks and hot sexual encounters. While Colton pushes the lines and boundaries, he never pushes Quinn too far. He is entuned to her and reads that it turns her on, even when she doesn't want to be. I enjoyed seeing them work through the mistrust over what happened and why and all the anger that came with that, as well as the issues from their past. This story moves forward as well with the King Society and the Crows working to figure out the members and information needed to take them out. This book has some twists and turns for sure and was well written. It does end on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one to figure out how the Crows are going to deal with the new twist.
The narrators did a good job with the characters and story and bringing it to life. They did a great job with the personalities.

Great edgy, darker book! Great continuation of series!

Excellent next chapter in the series and the new narrators are AMAZING!! Appreciated that we get an interracial couple. Still want a book for Jude and Pippa though

New narrators are 🔥🔥🔥

FMC narrator sounds choppy and robotic
MMC narrator is too breathy. He takes a sharp intake on nearly every pause.
