Welcome to the picturesque seaside town of Holly Blue Bay, where love blossoms in the most unusual of places.

Daisy Clarke arrives in Holly Blue Bay at the request of the town’s mayor. The mayor wants Daisy to perform a marketing miracle on the town, and to increase the visitor numbers too. The town holds a special place in Daisy’s heart as something magical happened to her when she visited this place as a child. She’s determined to show the rest of the world how wonderful the town is, and will use all her marketing skills to do so.

Jacob Smythe is a grumpy handyman who turns up at Daisy’s new office. She immediately mistakes him for someone else, which certainly breaks the ice between them. Just as Jacob is warming to Daisy, the mayor turns up and tells him why Daisy is in Holly Blue Bay. Jacob is furious and refuses to admit the town needs help, especially from an outsider.

Things change over the next few days as Jacob and Daisy spend more time together. They find themselves drawn to each other, and love begins to grow. But then something terrible happens which results in Daisy deciding to leave Holly Blue Bay, and Jacob, behind. Can Jacob convince her to stay?

A short, clean romance

This was the first book I've read/listened to by Cathy Blossom. It was a short, clean, insta love romance that was well written. I enjoyed the storyline and most of the characters. It had a Mayberry feel to it for this American girl.

Rita Chakraborty did a wonderful job as narrator. Both male and female voices were well done.

Great Read

A Fresh Start in Holly Blue Bay: A Holly Blue Bay Romance, Book One was a great read by Cathy Blossom. Daisy comes to Holly Blue Bay to perform a marketing miracle on the town. Jacob shows up to her office as a handyman when she mistakes him as someone else. Things are going well for them until the mayor tells him why she's there. I really enjoyed reading Daisy and Jacob's story. Rita Chakraborty did a great job of narrating this book. I can't wait to read more by Cathy Blossom.

cute story

This is a sweet romance with some humor. Daisy went to Holly Blue Bay, to help market the picturesque town to the tourist trade. John is a handyman who visited her. Mistaking him for someone else, did not go well. The more the time they spent together, the more they were attracted to each other.
Rita Chakraborty narration was very good and entertainment. I was gifted the audio and offered my honest review

What a terrific story brought to life with great storytelling by Rita Chakraborty. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and finding myself with a huge smile on my face over and over again. It isn't long but the characters come alive. I hope to hear more from Holly Blue Bay.

Cute and Sweet Romance

Daisy comes to Holly Blue Bay to help market the town for tourism. She meets Jacob, the town handyman, but mistakenly believes ne is a stripper sent by her friend. Initially Jacob and Daisy butt heads, however, as Jacob sees the good she is doing for the town and the fact that his dog really likes her - he begins to change his mind.

This is a short, sweet and clean romance with some good humor thrown in. The MC are likeable and while the story is predictable and some of the resolutions to their problems were a bit too easy - it was a feel good story and an enjoyable time in Holly Blue Bay.

The narrator was a good fit for this book and made it a fun listen.
