Classic Starts: the stories are abridged; the quality is complete. The Classic Starts series treats the world's beloved tales (and children) with the respect they deserve.

Poor Sara Crewe. Once upon a time her beloved father pampered and adored her. But ever since he died, leaving her alone and penniless, she's been caught in the cruel clutches of Miss Minchin, the headmistress at the Select Seminary for Young Ladies, where Sara once studied. But no matter how terrible things get, Sara always has her imagination and goodness of heart to carry her through. This timeless tale of a poor orphan has won children's hearts for a century - and continues to be a favorite.

A Little Princess was first published as a book in 1905. It is an expanded version of the short story "Sara Crewe: Or, What Happened at Miss Minchin's", which was serialized in St. Nicholas Magazine starting in December 1887.

At first I didn’t want to read the book at all but know it’s my favorite book! I will read it again and again over and over. Although I like the main (adult) version of the book JUST because it’s longer.

It is an amazing book! I thought the book was one of the prairie books that a lot of people read. I will now remember it!
