Motivational speaker Jermaine Hill seems to have it all: celebrity, money, women, even a Cadillac Escalade. But one thing he doesn't have is the will to keep on living. Will he find the one true path to happiness?

An exciting new voice in African-American Christian fiction, Derek Jackson writes contemporary tales of faith that resound in the hearts of readers and listeners.

I listened while getting my walk in and really enjoyed listening. I loved the characters and was happy that it ended the way it did! The narrator did a great job at keeping the flow of the character voice changes. Loved it!

Enjoyed it

Totally enjoyed this book, it bought back so many memories of accepting God's Will in my life. A gift of God almost wasted, but God!!! He may not come when you want Him, but He's always right on time!!! Powerful writing Derek Jackson. And Kevin Free never disappoints, his voice brings life to the author's words.

Thank you Lord, for a Praying Grandmothers!!!

Inventive story in terms of the central figure in Jermaine. However, the leaps of emotion and illogical thought processes do not fit the character.
Writing is decent and smooth. There is a flow to the story, but you will find yourself sucking your teeth on some of the typical reactions, too soap opera, TV talk showish. Should have been a little more sophisticated.
My biggest issue with the book has nothing to do with the story at all. Whoever published.produced this audio version cut too many corners and pinched too many pennies. I can hear the reader breathing. There are unexplained pauses in the reading, you expect to hear the chapter read out, but the story just continues. The production is terrible and at times a real distraction from the book.

Raw and reaching
