It all began as Amber Simmons, a young aspiring author, begins having nightmares about a young woman in chains. Of course, she believes at first it's only her imagination. However, as the dreams become more frequent and increasingly vivid, Amber realizes there may be more to her nightmares. When the woman in her dreams appears on the news as a missing person, it becomes clear these are not just dreams.

Now Amber is in a race against time as she tries to convince the police of her dreams and the whereabouts of the missing girl before it's too late. It's only a dream...right?

Disconnect

I struggled with the story and narration of this book. Although I think Amanda had the right voice for the characters, I could only focus on the various sing song, up and down inflations. It didn't seem "normal" .

The story sounded more interesting than it was. I was left confused at the end just as I was at the beginning. There was something missing and I can't put my finger on it but it just did not hold my attention.

This is a short compellingly mystery that explores the possibility of divination through dreams. A young woman disappeared and Amber sees where she is held in her dreams. She goes to the police with the information, but is dismissed as someone wanting to cash in on fame. Twisty tale that as a short was good, but left me wanting more tales in a series format.

The narration was well done.The characters were well portrayed.
