Heyer meets Christie--Excellent Regency Mystery

Very absorbing, well observed mystery with strong sense of time period and society tensions, led by an admirable heroine. Rosalind Thorne is in reduced circumstances but truly makes best of it and is excellent at her job, but not boringly so, the plot is complicated and her peril is real. Like a cross between Georgette Heyer and Agatha Christie. Loved the first book, immediately devoured this one and impatiently waiting for more.

A complex plot of many new and continuing characters with a delicious turn in the end. I look forward to a following book.

story more a woman than a man. Even though i
usually liked this kind of action but turned out not to be my. cup of tea or story.

In step with the first installment of the Rosiland Thorne series, this story grabs you from the very first page with intriguing characters and twists that lead to a great finale and reveal.

This is another good read in the series. keeps my interest and never get bored. I love the characters and can't wait to see what happens next.
