Right royal fluff and fab fun stuff! 4.5 stars!

Sometimes, a lovely, lighthearted royal romance is the perfect way to end what's been a truly awesome week, and that's exactly what A Right Royal Affair was for me. Penned by Helen Juliet and narrated by Kieran Flitton, This M/M story had a Cinderfella vibe to it, but even with that hint of familiarity to it, the author does a commendable job adding her own spin to it. Prince James and Theo Glass definitely had the odds stacked against them, but love wins in the end for these two, and while some may say that the story is far-fetched, remember that stranger things have happened in real life and that there was once upon a time where a royal and a commoner marrying was thought to be an impossibility as well. Wink, wink. This was my second story from Helen Juliet--and my favorite one so far, although I have read and listened to some of her work under her HJ Welch pen name--and my first audiobook from Kieran Flitton, who has left me happily impressed. I wouldn't say no to listening to more audiobooks from these two. 4.5 stars for A Right Royal Affair! ♥

A Modern Fairy Tale 💖

What a sweet sweet story!

Once upon a time.. a prince named James fell in love with an Essex boy named Theo.

It’s a modern retelling of Cinderella, all the way down to the shoes. However, I love the kind of shoes used in this story more than any glass slippers.

Kieran Flitton did an excellent job with this book. The characters came to life. His accents were spot on. I hope he does more narrations for this genre.

If you’re looking for a fun, sweet, low angst read, this one’s the perfect one for you. 💖

Cute Cinderella retelling

I'm a sucker for a good fairytale retelling, this one did not disappoint. The story hit all the highpoints of the original in cute ways that served the story well. I enjoyed the characters and the way the relationship developed. Great story.

Low angst yet spicy Cinderfella

This is my first book by Helen Juliet and I'm looking forward to experiencing more of her work. A Right Royal Affair was a delightful and low angst Cinderfella inspired story. It felt a little slow at first however that gave us plenty of time to get to know James and Theo individually and their potential as a couple. Suspending some belief about royal protocols/security is required, but it's fiction and I went with it. Mostly sweet, a little spice, and an epilogue so nice ~ this was truly enjoyable.

This was my first time listening to narration by Kieran Flitton and I was completely charmed. He did an excellent job of differentiating between James and Theo as well as giving all the secondary characters unique voices.

Loved loved LOVED this one from Helen Juliet! I had read the ebook version before and really enjoyed it but listening to it brought it to a whole new level! I had also never heard this narrator before but Kieran Flitton did a super nice job!
