New York Admirals captain Scott Hunter takes his pregame rituals very seriously. In this case, it's not just a lucky smoothie he's craving - it's the man who made it.

Pro hockey star Scott Hunter knows a good thing when he sees it. So, when a smoothie made by juice bar barista Kip Grady precedes Scott breaking his on-ice slump, he's desperate to recreate the magic...and to get to know the sexy, funny guy behind the counter.

Kip knew there was more to Scott's frequent visits than blended fruit, but he never let himself imagine being invited back to Scott's penthouse. Or kissed with reckless abandon, never mind touched everywhere all at once. When it happens, it's red-hot, incredible, and frequent, but also only on Scott's terms and always behind his closed apartment doors.

Scott needs Kip in his life, but with playoff season approaching, the spotlight on him is suddenly brighter than ever. He can't afford to do anything that might derail his career...like introducing the world to his boyfriend. Kip is ready to go all-in with Scott - but how much longer will he have to remain a secret?

the narration was horrible. The main character was spoken in a voice that sounded like an idiot. not great. might be better if read and not listened to.

couldn't even get to chapter 2

I really enjoyed the story being told in this book, it was sweet and heartwarming, but it was really damaged by the voice actors choices for voices. I would have preferred no accent work to what he did with almost every accent. Kip and his whole family sounded like they had some sort of speech delay. It's a shame because he (the narrator) has a great voice, but his acting choices, and not even just the accents, also the pacing and diction of his words were just really off. I'm hoping that doesn't continue through the series.

Unfortunate narration choices

The narrator’s voice and especially the accent he gives Kip was a little hard to overcome.

Great storyline but not so great narrating

I did not like Kip's voice. when he said the F word the accent made him sound like he had one brain cell.

the love

The story was super sweet. The only thing that I didn’t like about the story was the too much frequent sex. I mean the scenes are nice and hot, but it just seemed that Scott and Kit didn’t have anything of common except the sex, they seemed more in lust, that in love.
The performer was just awful, it’s like he couldn’t decided what voice or accent to give Kit. And with the first tone of voice he gave Kit, Kit was as emotionless as a rock. You couldn’t know if he was happy or worried.

Simply awful

The performer wrecked it all
