African American achievements

I highly recommend this book and how African Americans achieved many economic achievements. Maggie Walker was a strong advocate for Black people acquiring their own businesses.

A wonderful read even for those less inclined to historical fiction. The narration of Maggie Lena Walker's story is captivating and inspiring.

Maggie Lena Walker was eloquently introduced in this book as an important person of Black History that was never taught.
I would encourage women of all races to read this book because it encourages and challenges us to continue to work for the freedoms we deserve.
