I've read Darci Hannah's Beacon Bakeshop mysteries and purchased the first Food & Spirits Mystery out of fondness for her other books. It was okay, if improbable, but I don't read cozy mysteries for their verisimilitude. I got the audible version of "A Spirited Supper at Dundoon Castle" and the improbability combined with the truly awful accents of the narrator broke me. I couldn't finish it. I returned it and used my credit to start the Brother Caedful series.
