Great background but the end fell a little flat for me. The start of the book was amazing and the end was average. Continuing the series to see if it is still exciting and fun

Full of Joy!!

This is truly a fun, enjoyable book. It is a very light mystery, as I figured it out, about a third of the way into the book, who did it. However, it is truly a fun, enjoyable, and light read. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. It's a nice holiday (pun intended) from the heavier mysteries / thrillers.

Welcome to Candy Cane Hollow, where it’s always Christmas and where I happily lost myself for a few hours. Christmas Corpse was exactly the kind of warm, comforting escape I needed this season.

From the moment Holly Wood (yes, that name cracked me up every time) crashes into a snowbank and is rescued by a woman claiming to be Mrs. Claus, I knew I was in for a whimsical treat. The setting feels like stepping inside a snow globe—cozy cottages, twinkling lights, and an entire town wrapped in holiday magic.

The mystery itself is light, fun, and surprisingly engaging. When a grumpy receptionist turns up poisoned by a mince pie and Mrs. Claus becomes the prime suspect, Holly decides to clear her name… and I loved tagging along for every clue. I even managed to figure out the culprit myself, which made the ending extra satisfying!

The whole book has this easygoing charm—humorous, sweet, and wonderfully low-stress. It was the perfect palate cleanser from my usual darker romance reads. If I’m being picky, I would have enjoyed a bit more romance sprinkled in (because… always), but honestly, the vibes were so cozy I can't complain.

And I have to give huge credit to Charlie Albers, whose narration brought these quirky, festive characters to life. Her delivery made Candy Cane Hollow feel even more magical.

Loving listening to this book and the series that follows. This being Christmas cozy with fun, and entertainment. A great little read that leads up to Christmas with a town called Candy Cane Hollow how could it not be special. Holly, Nick, August and Mrs. Claus then throw in Gilbert the elf. Holly realizes that something is special about this this town and Holly gets involved with a murder that has Mrs. Claus, being the number one suspect. Can Holly solve the murder before Christmas and save Mrs. Claus and what about Nick? Have read or listen to the book to find out. Now on to the next book.
