A Stitch in Time

Sarah Yates is a thirty-something history teacher, divorced, disillusioned and desperate to have more excitement in her life. Then one evening the doorbell rings and the handsome and mysterious John Needler brings more excitement than Sarah could ever have imagined.

Annoying lead character

The story concept is good but I found the female “lead” very irritating as she seemed strong and confident one minute and needy and juvenile the next.
The narrator did a very good job with the various dialects and accents.

Sad romantic drivel in an otherwise fun story.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I was very entertained with this book until the last third of the book where the stupid romantic plot really annoyed me. The trips to the past are fun and interesting and it would have been a better book without the silly romance.

Not your usual time travel

A little more romance, sex and four language than I'm used to, but overall a decent storyline. Did not
care for some of the voices by the narrator - but thank goodness the key characters were fine.
