This book is for spiritual seekers, who will find the Tarot a new and beneficial tool to unlock the mysteries of the universe, as well as for lovers of divination, who seek to unlock the full meanings of the cards. In it, Rachel Pollack uses symbols and myths to illuminate the hidden mysteries and spiritual truths of the Tarot. She takes listeners on magical journeys through the Tarot, through the lens of mythology, folklore, Kabbalah, Joseph Campbell-style mythography, and more. Listeners interested in esoteric spirituality and history, as well as art and divination, will find much food for thought, as well as entertainment. This book, which was previously published in 2002 under the title Forest of Souls: A Walk Through the Tarot, is suitable for Tarot masters, but because of the author’s engaging, lively style, it’s accessible to newcomers too.

Tarotists will delight! I sure did. Probably not the best for true novices but certainly an interesting look at overlapping belief systems and reading for greater truths about life and death.

A great addition to Seventy-Eight Degrees!

I don’t associate tarot with patriarchal monotheistic religion .
So hearing so many references to Judaism and Christianity was way do dominant as a theme for me .
I felt like religious ideology was being pushed unnecessarily
And why does she keep apologizing to Christians.

Too many Jesus quotes
