Lon Milo is a treasure

Incredible story of a modern magician. Great for anyone who wants to learn more about ceremonial magick traditions, Crowley, or adjacent subjects.

excellent book!

The storytelling here is great! At times I literally and unexpectedly laughed out loud... and other times riveted with baited breath to learn about the outcomes of summoning up a spirit! There's a lot going on with this audiobook, but it's a good listen packed with funnystories about life, awkwardness growing up, and of course plunging the depths of occult practices for good measure.
I actually have the book version of this, which I read some years ago. I remember it being interesting and entertaining enough that I went ahead and did the audio book version....it lived up to my memory of the book plus some. Highly recommended

A day in the life of a ceremonial magician

This is a hilarious autobiography of author, musician, and occultist Lon Milo DuQuette. While carrying on with mundane ‘muggle’ work, I was living vicariously through this book. Lon Milo is so entertaining in his writing, and Jon waters brought milos work to life! Wonderful narration!

His Life Is My Life

Lon Milo Duquette is one of my favorites. I loved The Chicken Qabalah. This work is far more personal and revealing, yet still incredibly instructive. I think my experience of it might be paradoxically unique as there are so many similarities in our stories. I won't spoil the book by listing them all, but I definitely felt a strong sense of kinship, almost like meeting a long-lost twin. I'll say this: The book was creative, captivating, and clever, engaging and enriching--my life is better for having read it. I can't wait to read more of Lon Milo's work.
