Interesting and Unique!

I really enjoyed this one, and look forward to hearing books 2 and 3! Both narrators did an excellent job, and I flew through it in a weekend. The story is reminiscent of KM Shea’s Magiford series, but also brilliantly unique. No spice, no language. Highly recommend.

Love the narration

The narrators really nailed the characters. Loved listening to every minute of it. Can’t wait for the next one.

I was drawn into the story quickly!

I was drawn into this book quickly. Ms. Fichter has good character development and is a compelling writer. I tried to find places to go in my car just so I could keep listening to it! I am generally a historical fiction girl, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Such a fun and entertaining listen

This is different from the other book I've read from Brittany Fichter, but it didn't disappoint! Its was such a fun listen, I kept thinking of things I could do while listening to my audiobook so it wouldn't stop or I could return to it.

Magic in Vegas

I enjoyed this urban fantasy. The male narrator was excellent as the MMC and also did a great job voicing the other characters. I struggled a bit with the female narrator — the FMC sounded younger than her age, and her voice and intonation made even some side characters feel slightly annoying. At one point I even considered not finishing the book because of it, but I suspected the issue was more with the narration than with how the character was written, so I gave it another chance. The story became faster and more engaging toward the end, and I either got used to the narration or it improved. No strong language was a plus.
