Great performance

story line was great! Performance wasgreat. the story has enough drama to keep you interested but doesn't take away from the story.

So sick of the these door mat heroines

I've listened to a few of Maya Aldeans books, hoping she will give us a heroine with a little bit of a backbone. We're just gonna gloss over the fact that Sable gets punched in the face by her ex-husband, no consequences or *ss kicking from Heath or anyone? Why even mention the auto shop worker coming out to stand next to Sable if he doesn't do anything when her ex punches her? The whole chapter is about Heath's ex-wife coming to Sable's rescue? And then the next chapter fast forwards to Thanksgiving with Heath saying a little side note about Sable getting a restraining order on her ex. I guess he was okay with her being assaulted? This will definitely be the last book of hers I listen to. Her female characters piss me off.
