"Xavier Neal at her best!!! Forbidden and sensual and intoxicating. An age-gap story that drew me in with more than just the toe- curling off the radar nuclear chemistry. What a fabulous story!!" (Kathy Coopmans, USA Today best-selling author)

Sloan and Nix's reverse age-gap slow burn forbidden romance. The story is original, well written, and engaging. I liked the chemistry, the humor, and the banter. This is a great best friend’s youngest son forbidden romance. Lacy Laurel and Scott Rose did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. #PFPAudio

A well written age gap romance read by Neal. Main characters are Sloan and Nix, Not only do they have an age gap to overcome as Nix is much younger than Sloan, but Nix is also the youngest son of Sloan's best friend. While there is instant chemistry between the two, I love that Sloan is clear about her wants and needs, especially after Nix tries playing dating games which hello, you may be young but we're not in high school anymore! I love that Nix knows what he wants but his youth comes out in his insecurity. I also hated the secrecy thing - I mean, if you have to hide it you know you shouldn't be doing it - so while i get that it was the main angst and I love how easily Nix brought Sloan into his friendship group I wish Sloan had been more mature in being honest with her bestie. Of course, this is a HEA and I love the ebb and flow of the characters dynamics and realistic issues. The storyline was smooth flowing and easy to follow, and I loved the HEA ending. Dual narration by Laurel and Rose was wonderful and you could tell that while this was an age gap romance it was also an interracial romance too which came thru in the vocal tones. Plenty steamy and sweet as well - a good romance listen from Neal!

I enjoyed this book. It was a cute older woman/younger man and multicultural storyline. The main female character falls for the best friend's son. I loved the dynamics and banter between the main characters. This book was definitely worth the listen and I'll be looking for others done by this author.

Cute Couple!!❤❤

Normally, I like to escape when I read/listen to a book. I suspend believability (that would never happen in real life) and just try to enjoy the story as it unfolds. This is an age gap book, and I liked the realism in the book. I felt the chemistry between Sloan and Nix immediately. Sloan knew what she wanted in a relationship and was not into playing games. Nix, the playboy didn't know how to have a real relationship and lacked some maturity. Of course, the biggest obstacle was it being her best friend's son. This was a fun read, and the narrators did a good. This was my first time hearing Scott Rose narrate an audiobook, and I enjoyed his style. I love Lacy Laurel's narration style!!!
