On arriving at the festival, Alice learns that she and her father are actually contestants on Culinary Combat, a new reality TV show hosted by Tom Truffleman, the most famous and fierce judge on TV! And to make matters worse, she begins to suspect that someone is at work behind the scenes, sabotaging the competition.
It's up to Alice, with the help of a few new friends, to find the saboteur before the entire competition is ruined, all the while tackling some of the hardest cooking challenges of her life . . . for the whole world to see.

The attention to detail about victorian history

Well written, this book hit a sweet spot for me. Fans of insignificant events in the life of a cactus will love this book and goble it down in one bite.

This was a great book and I was really sad that it ended so I think you need a second one, again let me say how awesome this book is and please please please make a sequel.

I thought that the challenges they faced in the book are really interesting and realistic

So good would recommend for any age any time with a great reader one of the best kid mystery novels I everyplace read.
