In this dangerously sexy rom-com that evokes the real-life romance between Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle, a prince who wants to live out of the spotlight falls for a daring American rapper who turns his life, and the palace, upside down.

Sexy, driven rapper Danielle “Duchess” Nelson is on the verge of signing a deal that’ll make her one of the richest women in hip hop. More importantly, it’ll grant her control over her life, something she’s craved for years. But an incident with a rising pop star has gone viral, unfairly putting her deal in jeopardy. Concerned about her image, she’s instructed to work on generating some positive publicity… or else.

A brilliant professor and reclusive royal, Prince Jameson prefers life out of the spotlight, only leaving his ivory tower to attend weddings or funerals. But with the Queen’s children involved in one scandal after another, and Parliament questioning the viability of the monarchy, the Queen is desperate. In a quest for good press, she puts Jameson in charge of a tribute concert in her late husband’s honor. Out of his depth, and resentful of being called to service, he takes the advice of a student. After all, what’s more appropriate for a royal concert than a performer named “Duchess”?

Too late, Jameson discovers the American rapper is popular, sexy, raunchy and not what the Queen wanted, although he’s having an entirely different reaction. Dani knows this is the good exposure she needs to cement her deal and it doesn't hurt that the royal running things is fine as hell. Thrown together, they give in to the explosive attraction flaring between them. But as the glare of the limelight intensifies and outside forces try to interfere, will the Prince and Duchess be a fairy tale romance for the ages or a disaster of palatial proportions?

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to purchase this book. And I'm glad that I did. Wesleigh is one of my favorite narrators, so I expected her to to do a great job. It took me a while to warn up to Anthony, but he did an great job as well. This was a great storyline with 2 people from different worlds but yet similar. The chemistry between these two were phenomenal. Jameson is such the gentleman. Only thing I did not like was that ending could have been a little bit better tho. But I'm looking forward to reading more of Tracey's books.

Mind Blown.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Wasn’t too fond of the male actors “female” impersonation but Wesleigh!!!!!! She never fails to deliver.

Loved it!

If you pay attention to today’s news can’t say the storyline was original. It has its moments but felt like I was reading a lot of entertainment news all put together to create a plot. A little of this, a little of that. Enjoyed the philosophy though. We’re left up in the air as to how things work out for the two lovers and their futures if any. Not much satisfaction there. The Male narrator was good but needed to stay away from trying to do Dani’s character. Wesleigh Siobhan good as always.

This is a new author to me, and I did enjoy this book. It has taken me a while to listen or read this book as I depriortized it on my reader list in part due to the mixed reviews. After reading and listening to this story, I'm a bit more surprised with the low ratings. I would recommend this series. I'm about to read the next one.

Enjoyable

Dani a.k.a. Duchess, an American rapper needed a quiet time break from her hectic public life as a rapper before doing a gig in England to honor a favorite charity of the deceased Prince John. To keep her privacy, and not to overshadow the reason for the royal event, she ended up on the royal property of Prince Jameson who immediately did not know how to react to Duchess. The chemistry was strong for both Dani and Prince Jameson, the grandson of the queen. Now they had to hide their relationship from the queen and the royal family. WELL, you know how the story goes, "best-laid plans of mice and men", it was the worst secret kept ever. Dani, was trying to keep her best to keep any scandal out of the press despite her tiff with another rapper that was threatening to derail a deal for her cosmetics company Mela-skin. Dani, being the boss beotch that she is, didn't cotton to being told what to do by the royals and let them know she was not one of their subjects and didn't have to adhere to their edicts. Jameson finally grew a pair because his life without Dani was something he didn't want to do.

I liked how Dani was her own person and stayed true to herself. I also like how Jameson also stayed true to himself and did only what was necessary as a royal but not a working royal. This story was well plotted and the drama was unfolded in a timely manner.

Unexpected chemistry.
