I was kneeling on one knee, Terminator-style, like in that scene where he first arrives in 1984. Very much like that, actually. There were no flashes of lightning or anything like that. But there had been a lot of wind the moment before. Unlike a moment before, I wasn’t alone, and I wasn’t in my hotel room overlooking the ocean.

Scattered around me were the bodies of twenty men. At the front of the large stone room were four more men, very much alive, and a woman screaming.

Rushing at them, I reached them just as one of the men was about to strike the woman in the face. In that instant, all of the restraints of normal training sessions were lifted, and all the rules of the dojo left me. Normally, I would bow to a sparring opponent, and we would promise to try not to hurt each other. Normally, there weren’t four men about to hit a woman in the face.

Virtual voice

I like the story, I enjoyed the plot. However the total lack of inflection in the narration so distracted from the story as to make this almost un-listenable

The AI voice show no emotion

this sounds like a ok stroy, but the AI voice reading this book has no emotion to it. Like a old teacher lectures and but something they do not like. I am not able to finish the book and we'll have to read it instead

I actually like everything about the book.Great story and engaging. but you're killing me with the virtual voice.That's the only thing I can complain about.

should have male voice. single voice was distracting at times.I have nothing else to say.

Awful narration

I really disliked the narrative sounded fake probably because it is. so bad I couldn't listen to it
