Wow! I never know what to expect from LJ Shen’a books other than greatness. I always find myself trying to figure out what is going to happen before it gets to the point of it happening. I’m never disappointed. I love Vaughn Spenser and all his anger. The cast of narrators are awesome. I’m not sure how many more Fire this series but I’m ready for them and for the re-read starting with Vicious

Such an amazing book and narration!

To say that this was a great book is a gross understatement. It was so beyond great that no word has yet been created to describe its greatness. It has absolutely ALL the feels and I felt them all. We also get Vaughn’s parents’- Vicious’ and Emilia’s POV, which was everything for us to fully understand Vaughn and how in the midst of darkness he was still good. And Vaughn. Oh sweetness. I am getting teary eyed again just thinking about him and Lenora. What an incredible journey they had. The narration for this book was sheer perfection. Oh how I missed Christian Rummel as Vicious!!! Jacob Morgan is incredible too- the emotion he brought to life. Savannah Peachwood and Kylie Stewart were also incredible. I loved everything! Just everything! LJ Shen is a goddess. Truly.

What a finish to this series!

LJ Shen does it again! This story was heartbreaking, exhilarating, smart and inspiring. She is the queen of ripping your heart out and putting it back together again. Love this!!!!

An L.J. Shen masterpiece!

This book is everything! Narration is incredible. Storyline is perfection! 5 ++ stars!! I’m in awe!

A masterpiece!

I truly do not know how LJ writes such beautiful books. It has every aspect of romance except at a higher level. She somehow is able to put angst into a book that does not make me cringe. She somehow makes you love the worst of bullies with very few redeemable qualities. This book made me feel true love for a romance book again. This is a perfect ending to a beautiful long love story. The story that started with Amelia and vicious, it’s only fitting it ends with their true love Vaughn. Even Vaughn’s inner monologue isn’t truly redeeming. He is filled with so much hate. We get to see that truly morph into something else. Lenora was such a strong understated heroine. She kind of slowly creeps up on you. You aren’t sure how she can read Vaughn so well but in every move she makes she does. The amount of levels to this story is at some moments overwhelming. The emotions this story evokes is so much deeper than the love story underneath. I’m not saying the tension and the sexual nature is not there. I promise you it is and the sex scenes are super hot. But things like being with someone else is understood and needed. There emotions are so harsh it takes horrible things to make for change.
The true unconditional love of parents is such an incredible thing to see and feel from these characters we’ve known for so long. I did not know if LJ could top Broken Knight or the originals, but she truly did. I will forever read her books because they just keep getting better and better. I say it every time truly thank you for letting us be a part of this journey. Now I need a romcom bc my HEA heart can’t handle anything else.
