Anne of Green Gables is a 1908 novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. Written for all ages, it has been considered a children's novel since the mid-twentieth century. It recounts the adventures of Anne Shirley, an 11-year-old orphan girl who is mistakenly sent to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, a middle-aged brother and sister who had intended to adopt a boy to help them on their farm in Prince Edward Island. The novel recounts how Anne makes her way with the Cuthberts, in school, and within the town.

This is a wonderful story with a perfect narration. Easy yo understand every spoken word. I felt excitement when there was excitement in the story. The characters were almost visible as the spoke. And to think it was written in 1907 and so clearly and sensitively describes the scenes and character interaction is amazing. This was a great and peaceful story for me to listen to during the pandemic and political chaos of the end of 2020 snd the start of 2021. I am sure you will enjoy it!

Remarkably enjoyable!

what stood out to me the most was answering and how she goes through all of her emotions and how she is being brought up.

Matthew and Marialla were given the voices of 90 year old and rarely did anyone not sound like they were being voiced on hits of helium.

The story is wonderful, narrator is painful
