I am pretty picky about the reader's voice, but this reader did a great job. The book was difficult to finish because it felt as though the Anne's escapades were fairly repetitive. Looking forward to moving into the next book of the series.

Love the book, not the narration

Of the 9 books in the Green Gables series this is one of my favourites. I have never been able to get it on kindle or on audible in the region where I live, and when I found it was at last available I instantly got it. As much as I enjoy the story, the narrator really spoils it for me. She's not entirely horrible, but delivers the performance in a steady rhythm that often does not reflect the content. Since I love the content and know it almost by heart it is quite disappointing to hear emphasis in the wrong place

Can't take this reader

This story is great but this reader cannot read it like a normal person reads a book. Her intonation and emphasis in weird places makes it irritating to listen to. I can hear the spit gathering in her mouth.

You can Never go Wrong with Anne

The narration made this a very difficult listen. He voice is not malleable. The characters all sounded the same. it was not my favorite.
Of course, the story never changes; and it was ONLY my love for the tale that made me push through the entire reading.

A lovely read.

I do love all of Mongomerys writings. The reading was lovely, but it was a little breathy at times.
Overall a nice addition to the audio collections of the Anne books.
