The narrator took alot away from the story. The performance seemed stilted and the pauses in the reading began to get on my nerves. I am sure in other types of books this is fine but with the Green Gable series needs a certain flow to it. I would suggest that one looks for another narrator when purchasing this book and other books in the Green Gable series.

I love the story but....

Not sure what language narrator was trying to speak- inflections were weird - does Avonlea really have 4 syllables? I want to know!

Narration so awkward it spoils the story!

The narrator reads like William Shatner but with a very annoying, deep voice. The pausing during quotes is unbearable. He pronounces words wrong like Avonlea as ah-von-lee-a. His character voices are horrible, both male and female.

Classic, terrible narration

It was nice to hear a continuation of Anne’s story but it is just no comparison to the original Anne of green gables. I also didn’t care for the narrator—he was pretty monotonous and dry.

Not as good as Anne of Green Gables!
