Is there a way to walk into the final chapters of life with peace and confidence, and with support and wisdom?

We all are living an earthly story with a beginning, middle, and end. While aspects of our story's closing hold mystery, we do not have to feel lost as we move toward it. We instead can lean on the support and wisdom of others who know the path ahead.

In Anticipating Heaven, she offers that same practical advice and spiritual comfort to you and your loved ones as you navigate a serious illness.

Drawing on her years of experience and strong faith, Dr. Pyle will share inspiring patient stories and clear guidance, helping you to

  • navigate the world of healthcare with confidence,
  • prepare an end-of-life plan with peace,
  • remember your heavenly destination with hope,
  • embrace the final chapters with love, and
  • anticipate the presence of God and your glorified body with joy.

Clarity can replace chaos. Assurance can overcome uncertainty. And love can conquer fear. You are not alone on this path. You are leaving the land of the dying and entering the land of the living, a place God calls home. As one story is closing, a bright new one is beginning.

Critic reviews

'Anticipating Heaven is what I needed before I even needed it. Step by step it teaches with the vantage point of a physician who has had decades of practice. Nuanced end-of-life stories are the backdrop for a book that is as touching as it is instructive. It has helped me as I navigate with my siblings my father's journey home.'
'As a Christian physician, a founder of an international prayer ministry, and as someone in their sixties, I could immediately see the value this book will add to me and others. Dr. Pyle has captured the essence of so many experiences individuals face when they receive a diagnosis and wrestle with their own brush with mortality and the unyielding, cold, healthcare system. With masterful storytelling she effortlessly guides the reader through the practical and the spiritual with the wisdom of experience. I highly recommend this book to patients, families, and even the young and healthy.'
'Dr. Pamela Pyle's Anticipating Heaven is a deeply moving and essential book for anyone navigating the challenges of a difficult diagnosis--whether their own or that of a loved one. With wisdom, grace, and profound spiritual insight, Dr. Pyle offers both practical guidance and heartfelt encouragement, providing a roadmap for facing life's hardest moments with faith and hope. As someone who has spent decades helping leaders build trust, I recognize the power of truth and clarity in uncertain times. Dr. Pyle delivers both in a way that is compassionate, practical, and deeply reassuring. Anticipating Heaven is more than a book--it's a gift to those searching for comfort, courage, hope, and peace. I highly recommend it.'

Anticipating Heaven written by my childhood friend ,Dr. Pamela Pyle, was an amazing journey into everything that a typical person would go through at their end of life, whether it is something like cancer or another terminal diagnosis. I consider myself to be relatively knowledgeable when it comes to end-of-life information and decisions, however, this book helped me see things that I would not have thought about. I wish that I had had this book when both of my parents passed away more than 10 years ago. Dr.Pyle talks about a “Good death” in her book. I would not classify my dad‘s death as a good death -I was alone with him (I am grateful HE was not alone) but it was very traumatic for me, even as an adult! My mom’s death, on the other hand, was a good death! All of her wishes had been made known and taken care of and all of my mom’s children and many of her grandchildren surrounded her in her last days. Even though both of my parents knew they would be going to Heaven, there was a clear difference in their deaths! One of the most impactful things about this book is the practical application! I highly recommend it…especially when things are calm!

I didn’t know I needed this book!
