awesome but too short

Man the main character is a tool of the highest proportions, He's pretty dumb and kind of unlikable but the book and mc himself are quite aware of his issues. The mc gets super lucky with his start but makes completely terrible decisions and is continually getting wrecked for his own stupidity.

good narration, the comedy is pretty good, overall quite fun.

however

I really hope Wolfe only does this with their first books in a series to gage interest. because so far both series from them I have listened to have been excellent.I saw there will also be a dungeon core from them soon as well, and I expect that will also be awesome.

I 5* recommend the content of this book, but I have a problem recommending spending a credit on a book this short.

Amazing

Honestly didn’t have the highest hopes for this when I got it short and all but it blew me away absolutely amazing I can’t wait for book 2 and will be advising everyone I know who likes these kinds of books bye it you won’t regret it!

TLDR: great narrating okayish story

The performance was legit I enjoyed every moment of it. However the story was hit or miss. The respawn timer and dying was a bit weak

A great new LITRPG series by a phenomenal author

I happen to greatly enjoy Locke’s books so finding a new series with him is awesome. Our scenario is post apocalypse. Everyone has new powers, stats and the opportunity to advance in this new society. The cost? Killing others. And trying not to die yourself. Unless you are like the mc who is a respawner. Great action, great characters. The narration is spot on. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Mc is kinda a dbag

first half of book the Mc comes off as a complete ass and if I wasn't listening to the book in the background I doubt I would have made it past that but it does get better after that
