Armed 'n' ready to begin living again?

I'm a real fan of K9 stories and this has quite a bit of the dogs involved in the story of two people who have been seriously damaged by former loves and are not ready to try again. Ready or not being forced together to solve a serious crime makes it difficult to ignore their attraction. Is she being used by the real criminal -- is she guilty or a victim and if so is she in danger?

The love story is mixed with the crime story and wonderful characters. I thoroughly enjoyed and will have to read more of this series.

OK Story. Lousy Narration.

I love K9 stories, especially when they come in a series. Add in some good suspense and romance and I’m a happy camper. This is the second book in the series, and while I do enjoy the overall premise, I could do with a little less obsessive romance and a little more meat to the story. And, I’m sorry to say, the narration leaves a lot to be desired. Same for the first book. Her cadence doesn’t flow very well, there are a lot of mispronunciations and other mistakes, though I suppose those could be attributed to editing erros rather than narration errors. Either way, they should have been caught before final production. I’ll keep reading the series, because like I said, I enjoy the basic premise. But I have to read at least a book or two from another author in between, or I’ll get sick of listening to the mediocre narration and the overly sexualized plot. Normally if I’m reading a series I truly enjoy, I’ll plow through the whole thing with abandon and then be annoyed because I have to wait for the next book in the series to be released. This series is a little above meh for me, but not by a lot.

I’m hooked!!!

I absolutely love this book!!! It was just enough suspense mixed with romance. This book had my emotions in a chokehold lol. From laughing, to crying, to nervousness this book had me all over the place. I will definitely be completing this series and every other series this author has. 10 out of 10 recommend

Don't be over...!

I was so sad this book ended. That's how much I was engrossed. And can we talk about it made me cry?? Such a great book and a keeper!

The characters were great. I didn't expect the ending but I loved how the mystery was revealed. And the sweet ending for the couple. LOVED!
