Do you know someone who might have Asperger's syndrome? Or are you struggling with it yourself?

In this book, you'll come to know more about signs, symptoms, cures, and treatments. Some work for some, others for others. But for every person, there are ways to counter the harmful effects and learn to deal with the benefits (yes, there can be actual benefits to the disorder, depending on the individual).

You'll learn more about why social interaction is so hard for some people with Asperger's syndrome. You'll learn more about how their mind works, what they focus on most, and how the overwhelming impulses of their senses contribute to their unique character and behavior.

Don't stay in the dark. Enlighten yourself with this important piece of information.

Definitely worth listening to, even if it's just to understand people with Asperger's better if you ever come across someone who has that.

I'm very early into my exploration of Aspergers Syndrome and Autism, so I found this book useful.

However, if you already know the basics and have a foundation of understanding, may not find much if any new info here.

Quality of the Recording: Pleasant enough female narrator. Slow and neutral voice. Sounds like a forced trained slow calm cadence so comes across as unnatural and robotic, but not offensive or distracting beyond the first min or two.

Good introduction and overview.

You need this book if you want to learn anything about this topic. NO joke! I got this book for free, but it's only a few bucks, I mean, come on.

This audiobook has very good information. I think it would be easier for me to retain if it were a tiny bit slower paced. Also, I hoped it had more concrete advice about how parents can be interfacing in treatment plans, of adult ASD patients., particularly in adulthood diagnosis as opposed to childhood diagnosis.

Definitely an interesting cover. I wouldn't consider all people with Asperger's to make funny faces like that. But I get it.

So here is my analysis:

This is an excellent book for those who aren't familiar with the syndrome. It's one of those books that gives you all the basic information and much more. Therefore, I gave it 5 stars, and for good reasons. The author is totally sympathetic towards those with Asperger's, although I can also sense, if I'm not wrong, that he doesn't have it himself but instead, has dealt with those who do. For that reason and others, I consider this a great way to become familiar with it. The narrator was nice too. No complaints. She's professional.
