Scorching-hot summer. Scorching-hot chemistry. Two teens can’t forget they’re just friends in this sweet, funny, electrifying romance from New York Times bestselling author Tia Williams—perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Nicola Yoon.

Meet Audre. Junior class president. Debate team captain. Unofficial student therapist. Desperately in need of a good time.

Meet Bash. Mysterious new senior. Everybody’s crush. Tall, floppy, great taste in jewelry. King of having a good time.

It’s the last day of school at Cheshire Prep, Brooklyn’s elite academy—and Audre Mercy-Moore’s life is a mess. Her dad cancelled her annual summer visit to his Malibu beach house. Now? She’s stuck in a claustrophobic apartment with her mom, stepdad, and one-year-old sister (aka the Goblin Baby).

Under these conditions, she’ll never finish writing her self-help book—i.e., the key to winning over Stanford’s admissions board.

Cut to Bash Henry! Audre hires him to be her “fun consultant.” His job? To help her complete the Experience Challenge—her list of five wild dares designed to give her juicy book material. She’ll get inspo; he’ll get paid. Everybody wins.

He isn’t boyfriend material. And she’s not looking for one. Can they stay professional despite their obvious connection?

Fun fact: Audre Mercy-Moore first appeared in the New York Times bestseller Seven Days in June and now stars in her own story!

I just finished listening and man, this book was such a ride. Forgive my biased review, but I never expected to connect so hard with two characters. Sure there were some cheesy parts, but the core of the story was so real that I finished this book in a day. Even though I knew how this was gonna end, I was still enraptured all the way to the end. And the performers were fantastic, both the male and female narrators really sold both characters for me. It felt like their voices were THE Audre and Bash, I don’t think I can imagine any other voice for them. Even the background characters were real, which is saying a lot I think. Defs would recommend giving this a read.

I liked the way each character's backstory was revealed. The evolution of the relationship between Bash and Audre was cute and respectful.

This was an absolutely delightful listen! I didn’t want it to end, and now I’m convinced we need a whole series on Audre & Bash. It made me so nostalgic for young love, and the characters were written with such thoughtfulness and care. One of the best surprises was hearing both a female and male narrator for the characters—it made the story come alive and feel even more immersive. Honestly, I hope that becomes the standard for audiobooks. It made it so much easier to get lost in this story. Please give us more, Tia!

Perfect blend of story and performance!

I love how Audre and Bash grew over the summer. I love how Tia kept the theme of 7 like 7 days of June. I realllyyy hate how Eva changed in this book tho. I understand but I didn’t like it.

Love me some Audre

I love Tia”s writing and this book didn’t disappoint. This story resonated with me even though its focus is on young lovers. The family dynamic and the fact that it was a continuation from another story made it even better.
Narrators were also great.

Love is love!
