Outstanding

This book touched my heart. The magnificent voice of Zachary Webber broke my heart as the little boy. Unfortunately this is a reality for many children. It has to stop. It has to be stopped. This book profoundly affected me. Thank you for writing about such an important subject while giving us a beautiful love story.

I really loved this story which is a surprise to me I usually don’t like to read of abuse but it was not blatant descriptive. The characters were people you cared about and I was rooting for them all the way

A Dark Drama with Some Romance

The author’s warning in the beginning claimed the abuse in the character’s past would not be graphic, but it was sufficiently detailed to be hard to hear. Also, the story mostly revolved around how those past events affected the character’s life and needed to be resolved. The actual romance between the main characters was almost secondary to it.

I chose this book because I love Zachary Webber’s narration, and he did not disappoint. Both narrators were excellent at telling an emotional story.

A wonderful trip to the beginning

It was great to read one of Kennedy’s earlier books. I thought it was well- written. She has become one of my favorite authors. My first read was, The Kingmaker.
