I saw her first.

This story broke my heart and mended it together again. I adore Hunter and Lennon!

From heartbreaking to heartwarming

Be warned, you will need a LOT of tissues with this read. I kid you not, not only did I go through a ton of tissues but I also almost wound up in the ER because I happened to be eating at one point and what happened had me gasping and food went and got caught in my throat, it was a thing but I'm fine but my g0d I was a sobbing mess.

This story will have you feeling all types of emotions, from happiness to grief to joy to despair. I can guarantee you will end on a happy note, but it's a long road to getting there. Hunter and Lennon's story isn't easy, especially with Brandon being Hunter's best friend and Lennon's boyfriend, but they somehow manage to be there for one another after their devastating loss.

This book is just under 600 pages, and I honestly believe nothing should be cut out. Most books this size are repetitive, but this one reads smoothly. My advice to you before diving into this book is to get a large glass of your favorite beverage, a big box of tissues, put a do-not-disturb sign on your door, and grab a few snacks. Once you start reading, you won't want to put this book down.

Aiden Snow and Maxine Mitchell did a phenominal job with bringing this story to life. If you can listen to the audiobook I highly recommend it.

So much sympathy for Hunter

This is book 1 of 2. It focuses on how Lennon and Hunter meet and the love triangle with Hunters best friend, Brandon. You wanted Brandon to be a bad guy so badly so that she could be with Hunter but he wasn’t. He was a great guy and it exemplified the idea of missed opportunities. I wanted to cry for Hunter, then for Lennon, and the whole unfairness of it all. The only thing that gets me is how his friend never knew when his other friends did. Hunter’s actions were a sacrifice and it broke my heart. He always did what was best for Lennon and his best friend and never for himself. The whole situation just sucked and he did what he thought he needed to to try and get over her. I just wanted to cry. This story is likeable because it felt real. Thank you Kennedy for this series.

ALL THE FEELS pt. 1!

MY HEART IS NOT OKAY

okay there is a lo to unpack with this book. first off- this book is one of the most emotional books that i have ever read in my entire life thus far. i knew that this book would rip my heart out, but i was not expecting to feel the way it did. the pain that hunter feels from not being able to do anything about how he feels for lennon made my heart break. i loved how much brandon loved lennon but my heart was rooting for hunter the entire time. i easily could feel on why it was so hard for hunter to be friends with her. i really appreciated the way how hunter respected their relationship and never once tried to cross the boundary or shoot his shot. the journey that hunter and lennon have gone on makes you believe that there is hope even in the deepest grief. so excited to hop right into the next part of this book. the narrators did such a great job of making you feel like you are in the story. The emotions that i was feeling when listening to this were so real. and they killed it in my opinion.
