Club owner Harry Klinger has had his eye on Tristan Martin for months, but never had the nerve to approach him. He's watched as Tristan dated Eddie and then reluctantly sat on the sidelines during the emotional breakup when Tristan discovered Eddie was dealing drugs. Now that Tristan seems to be healing, Harry hopes to get his chance.

When Eddie sends his men into Harry's club to harass Tristan, Harry steps in to help. Tristan is reluctant at first since he admittedly has terrible taste in men, but Harry seems genuine. And Tristan can't help but think Harry's sexy as well and begins to hope for happiness for both of them.

Unfortunately, Eddie isn't behaving rationally, sampling too much of his own product. With his determination to take Tristan back, it'll take more than Harry's help to keep Tristan safe as Eddie ratchets up his attempts to get what he wants.

Good but...

The narration was excellent. Varied voices kept all of the characters organized. I like Andrew Grey books and have listened to several. I would like hear more compelling dialog from the characters. Dialog that might make me scratch my head and think. I found some of the subject matter repeated throughout the book in slightly different words. I would also like to hear dialog that would be typical for the age group of the characters. For example...at one point Tristan is getting dressed while Harry waits. Tristan says "let me finish dressing..." I struggled with that choice of words. A normal conversation might have had him say "let me get dressed...or...let me finish getting dressed". The author's choice reminded of a snobbish old woman. But of course I'm not the author.

My favorite

This is my favorite of the four stories in this series. The narrator is great!

Good Story. Wonderful Characters.

I love this series. The characters are interesting, especially Bull and Spook. The "gang" of friends are adorable and I love their interaction. Of course being an Andrew Grey book, it is well written and entertaining.

Tough Guys

Once again this tough group of guys has a problem to solve. It was great to see Harry finally have a chance to show Tristan how he feels. Tristan also gets to learn how tough he really is when he does what is needed to get to the other side of a bad situation.

Sounds like he has a stopped up nose!

Would you try another book from Andrew Grey and/or John Solo?

I always enjoy Andrew Grey's books, and even loved reading Backward. Also, John Solo is a very good narrator and his narration of the book's text is fine. But the voice of Tristan is awful! He sounds precisely like he has a stopped up nose, which is incredibly unsexy. Also, Harry's voice sounds a little like an old man and has no sex appeal. Very disappointing character voice choices and performance by the usually strong team of Gray and Solo. I'll certainly listen to the preview of any of their future joint efforts before buying.
