A prominent baker plans to expand into a beloved confectioner’s hometown market. Will she learn the recipe for love as well as pastries in this tourist town?

Rosy has always dreamed of two things: opening her own bakery and becoming a mother. Just as her charming shop is set to welcome its first customers, tragedy strikes nearby, leaving several infants in need of homes. Without hesitation, Rosy steps in to foster one of the babies—with the potential to adopt. Her heart is full, her plate is overflowing, and somehow, she's never felt more fulfilled.

Nora is a savvy entrepreneur, expanding her successful chain of bakeries toward Chicago. Despite being a single mother, she’s always been able to juggle work and family. Her next target? A quaint, bustling tourist town with the perfect Main Street location. There's just one problem—the town already has a bakery. And its owner? Warm, grounded, and surprisingly captivating.

Nora came to town to open a new store. She didn’t expect to find someone who might make her want to stay for good. As dreams collide and unexpected bonds form, both women must decide: is there room in their lives—and hearts—for something they never planned?

A tender, slow-baked story of family, ambition, and unexpected love—Bakery Wars proves that the best things in life rise when you least expect them.

The ending was rushed. The conflict and the dialog in the first 3/4 was great but the ending was empty. The author mentions it’s a series after the book is over and I’m hoping she does a better job of finishing the romance in subsequent books.

I enjoyed it but…
