Defense attorney Madden Polunin is good at his job. He works alongside the Kings of Men MC and is known, and hated, by the New Gothenburg PD for getting his clients cleared of charges that should have sent them to jail.

Straitlaced Officer Evan Slater loathes everything about Madden, from his charismatic personality that helps free criminals, to how hard it is to pronounce his ridiculous last name. Polunin makes Evan’s job more difficult than it needs to be, and Polunin’s smug smile fuels Evan’s anger.

In a night of celebration, Madden ends up drugged and runs into Evan, which begins a turmoiled relationship between a self-declared “straight” police officer and a lawyer only interested in one-night stands. Between criminal arrests, a serial killer father locked behind bars, and a negligent work partner, Madden’s and Evan’s lives collide in ways they never expected.

Good story, narration lacking

The story was a good enemies to lovers MM romance with 🔥🔥 steaminess. The narration was bearable, but detract d from the story.

A thin line between love and hate. Opposites attract, but a huge dose of alcohol wss involved in that curious decision to pair up! The things you have to tell yourself to make it okay, until you can accept and own your truth! I was a willing captive on this strange beautiful journey between Evan and Madden. Every flaw made me love them more. I enjoyed the little snippets of King's MCs. Proof that labels are insignificant- go deeper to the person beneath! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Amazing

I enjoyed this story as a book but it was sooo much better as a audio story. Loved the narration it was great and the characters are perfect. Great listen loved it.

Bah

This narration is horrible 👎🎧. All the voices sound similiar. Bentley Jameson did SO MUCH BETTER on the connecting book. This horrid narrorator gives Paxton a "stereotypical gay man's" voice 🏳️‍🌈. It is also hard to distinguish between Slater and Polunin 👬. I'm so aggravated by this. 😡
