How should I choose between love and revenge?

I fell in love with the brother of my father's murderer.

A game of power took away my whole family. On the day of my adulthood, my originally peaceful life was broken; my father was killed right in front of me, but my wolf did not appear. I was imprisoned in the castle. Except for powerless resistance, what else could I have done?

Fate has brought my lover to my side, but he is the brother of the enemy who killed my father. Power and hatred are now in the way between us.

Will he have the determination to keep choosing me? When will my wolf appear?

Beta Love (Wolf’s Mate Book 3) ~~ I read this book on Kindle and also listened to it on Audible, and this one was an interesting shift in the series because it focuses more on the Beta wolf and the complicated loyalties within the pack.
The heroine finds herself caught in a dangerous emotional situation when she begins to develop feelings for the brother of the man responsible for her father’s death. That alone creates an intense internal conflict, because she has spent so long believing she should hate him and his entire family.
What makes this story compelling is how it explores forgiveness and the idea that not everyone in a powerful pack is responsible for the sins of their relatives. The Beta character especially stood out to me. He isn’t the cold Alpha type we often see in shifter romances — instead he’s protective, loyal, and constantly trying to hold the pack together when everything around him is falling apart.
The tension between revenge and love runs through the entire book. Every time the characters get closer, the past threatens to tear them apart again. It made the emotional payoff at the end feel even more satisfying.
The Audible narration was great here too, especially during the intense confrontation scenes where secrets about the past finally come to light.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

I wanted to give this five stars, however, it felt like there were multiple things that happened fully “off screen” that came across as very anticlimactic. We’d spend four chapters or more building up to something and the thing is three lines long. I listened to the whole thing so 3 is the lowest I’ll go.
