Having lost my memory, I no longer believe in anyone. Even my past self seems so estranged.
I woke up in a cage. While without consciousness, two kinds of poisons were added to my body. One from the wolf, and the other from the vampire. They suppress and oppose each other, and this might cost me my life at any time.
I lost my memory, because vampires stole my power. From the mouth of those familiar strangers, I was their friend, family, partner, and even the avatar of the goddess.
But I know that I can only trust myself. I want to find my old self, become a complete person again. But the me that I am now; what should I do, where should I go?

The heroine in this story faces the impossible situation of loving someone who has already rejected her. Even though the mate bond still exists, pride, pack expectations, and past mistakes keep them apart. Watching these two characters struggle between their loyalty to the pack and their feelings for each other created a lot of tension throughout the story.
One thing I really liked was how the book explores the consequences of rejection. In many shifter stories rejection is a quick moment, but here we see the emotional and political fallout that follows. Pack alliances start shifting, rival wolves take advantage of the situation, and suddenly the characters are forced to make sacrifices for the ones they love.
The Audible narration again added a lot to the experience. The narrator really captured the heartbreak and determination of the characters, especially during the scenes where the heroine is forced to choose between protecting the man she loves and protecting herself.
By the end of this book the story becomes even more intense, with secrets about the pack and the mate bonds continuing to unfold. It definitely left me curious about where the next book would take these characters.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.
