Charlie and Jenson, high school sweethearts turned fated mates, married young in their wolf shifter pack, believing their love was unbreakable. Five years into their marriage, Charlie faces a heartbreaking challenge: she can’t conceive, and their pack urgently needs an heir.

Subsequently, Jenson has an affair with another female at an Alpha conference, resulting in a possible pregnancy. To Charlie’s shock, the female arrives at their home ready to give birth, while Jenson and the pack accept her with open arms.

As the outsider’s demands grow outrageous, Charlie’s pain turns into rage. Having been betrayed and rejected, she must decide whether to fight or take drastic actions. Amid the turmoil, Charlie discovers the possibility of a different future, as Jenson faces the consequences of his infidelity.

Love the story line and the girl power influence and advice within the story line but the ending honestly was sad

Good story line

Intially, I did not enjoy the new character personality of both lead characters. There is two stories, the second starting at Chapter 22 changes the alphas reality and actions. The AI voice is not to my liking.

Two in one, same but different.

A satisfying end to an entertaining story.
love a badass female lead that doesn't just roll over like a doormat!

Surprisingly better than expected

I will say that this story isn't the best when it comes to characters actions but if you can keep that from interrupting your enjoyment then the drama is really good. This book comes with two stories that I can only describe as ansty romance or dark romance. One I would say is a groveling story while the other is a story about what happens if it all went the opposite way. I have to admit that the dark story which is the second story starts in chapter 22 was the better option for me. It showed a different side to how the mate bond works that I haven't seen in a omegavers before. This story shows the mates connection to the wolfs as in to leave your mate you have to leave the wolf side of him or her to. This book did really good almost separating the human from the wolf as if they are a whole different person entirely. It also showed the damage done to the wolf in the process of cheating and all ill say is I really liked that and didn't think a better ending could of happened. It did make me teary eyed at the end and a somewhat of a redemption actually happened.

two stories in one

If you really like revenge after cheating, but can’t stand body betrayal that is so common in shifter books, this is the book for you. Strong female lead. Good fit for a niche audience. If you enjoy revenge after cheating where the revenge is the person moving on and moving up, and life delivering a comeuppance to all cheating parties, you will probably enjoy this a lot. The repetition, the book practically starting over, was a definite negative for me, but you can scan the repetition. There is a reason for it. The strong female lead and the lack of “body betrayal syndrome” was refreshing. Definitely different themes than most. Smart and strong female lead. Fated mates where first is an idiot and second chance is super sweet. Not dark or bully. No BDSM. Lots of closure “epilogue” type. No lingering plot threads left unclosed - No cliffs.

Good for certain audiences
