“I’m going to be gone in a week. You’ll never hear from me again.”

Bonnie tilted up Natalie’s chin with one, manicured finger.

“Then let’s have some fun.”

Natalie Roche has made it. She has her life, her independence, and her rock-and-roll dream job: a talent manager in LA, at the world’s largest music management firm.

But when Natalie’s grandmother dies and leaves her the family house in Appalachian Maryland, she has no choice but to trek her way back east and confront the past she’s worked so hard to escape. But luckily for her, family drama isn’t the only thing she finds in the mountains.

A luscious lawyer, a heartthrob handyman, a mediocre mom, and an absolute asshole of a half brother.... This road trip might be more than what she’d bargained for.

This is one story you should not miss. The family dynamics of a family divorced and the effects of not knowing or having contact with you parent's other side was most insightful.

I loved it

I laughed more then once the banter between the character was hilarious. I fell in love with Natalie and Bonnie.

Fantastic

I was not sure about it at first, but I really enjoyed it. And narration was excellent as well.

Liked it

Generally, I liked this book but the romance did feel like a secondary plot. The book really centered around Natalie coping with the loss of her grandmother and other new realities. Thankfully, her friendship with Seth really helped bring levity to this book. I enjoyed listening to this book and, overall, would recommend.

Not bad
