Though I'm probably never going to see him again. After all, Rou was just a random kid he picked up on a whim. He can't be that interested in me . . . Right?

Bland structure when compared to the first 4 books.

While I enjoy the story from this series, book 5 was lacking. Book 5 seemed split between character status updates and side stories. The contribution to the main story line appeared to be an after thought. Many parts felt very AI heavy as though someone uploaded a bunch of ideas and asked an AI to use the ideas to build a story. While I understand it's tempting to use an Ai to help with sentence structure, the resulting phrasing has the bland familiarity of so many office emails. The performance from Travis was fantastic.

Felt too short.

I love this series as well as the narrator. I listened to the entire story in a day. The quality is there but it feels like a build up to the next book so there is a lot of fluff. I hope the next book is released soon. The set up for it is just too good.

Couldn’t put it down.

Such a delightful story with plenty more to come. Also, Baldree, how could you not?

not cool, how you going to have the entire story nice and sedate and then sucker punch in the last chapter.

The story is just as good as ever, the balance between humor and legitimate character development has made this series one of my absolute favorites.
